Rudraveni Muthuswamy Polytechnic College is a pioneer institution offering technical education to a large number of poor and needy students coming from the schools in and around Udumalpet. Ever since its establishment in 1997, the polytechnic has taken rapid strides in reaching out to the students of the remotest villages in the rural areas surrounding Coimbatore, Tiruppur and Palani.
This esteemed institution was founded by the Late Sri. R. Muthuswamy Naidu who was a Textile engineer with a B.Tech. degree from Manchester and also the son-in-law of Sri. G.V. Govindaswamy Naidu, the renowned industrialist and philanthropist.When he was managing the Venkatesa Mills in Udumalpet, he was struck by the fact that his employees from rural areas were struggling to give quality technical education to their children. He decided to start this Polytechnic institute with his own funds.
RMPC aims to impart quality technical education to students from all walks of life, especially, the rural students, at a very affordable cost. Education should be offered without any constraints. It can be proudly mentioned that providing such an education has been the prime objective of this institution from its start. Today it stands tall with the state of art machinery and labs, spacious and airy classrooms, well qualified teachers, Digital library, huge campus and all other facilities that make learning a happy experience. The teaching methodology is student-centered and focuses mainly on moulding the students into quality technicians, engineers, entrepreneurs, leaders and most important of all complete persons.
